On Nominal Roll 30th Wellington Regiment Camp London June 1913, K Coy. 5 foot 8 inches, hazel eyes, dark hair. Church of England. On 34th 2nd Reinforcing Draft Sailing List SS Hesperian, 17-8-15. Taken on Strength 18th Battalion 19-1-16. Admitted to Hospital 20-6-16, contused left knee. Returned to duty 21-7-16. Guelph Mercury 27-6-16 reports 'wounded'. GSW to left hand 21-11-17.
