Trade listed as Weaver. DOB 31-3-97, born Mount Forest. 5 foot 5 1/2 inches. Hazel eyes, brown hair. Church of England. AKA Clarence Freeman Morrison. Irwin H. Morrison, father. Fanny Johnston, mother. NOK Kate Morrison, aunt. Enlisted Mt Forest 6-12-15 (age 18 years 8 months). On 153rd Battalion Nominal Roll 19-2-16, transfer to 216th noted. On 153rd Nominal Rolls as published Guelph Mercury 10-6-16 and 1-12-16. Name listed on 216th Sailing List 18 April 1917, SS Scandinavian, Halifax N.S. Cushnie letter dated 15-9-17: "I had a letter from Clarence Morrison. He is in a hospital at Shornecliff recovering from an attack of Diptheria. I was quite surprised to hear that he is still in England as I though most of the Bantams were in France." Taken on Strength 19th Battalion 26-3-18. GSW right thigh 3-9-18. Orangeville Banner 12-9-18 reports "wounded, gunshot left thigh." Survived the war, returned to Canada on SS Saturnia, Glasgow 30-3-19. Demobilized London 11-4-19.
