Enlisted Guelph 12-5-16 (age 23 years 4 months), lists 1 year service in 30th Wellington Regiment. Guelph Mercury 12-5-16 reports "The following qualified Officers have joined 153rd...Mr. Scudamore...have rank of Sergeant, will be promoted to Officer as vacancies occur..." On 153rd Battalion Nominal Roll 20-5-16, no transfer noted. On 153rd Nominal Rolls as published Guelph Mercury 10-6-16 and 1-12-16. Embarked with 153rd Halifax N.S. SS Olympic 29-4-17. Landed Liverpool 7-5-17. Assigned 25th Reserve for Training and Administration. Taken on Strength 18th Battalion 2-3-18. Shrapnel wounds to right chest 11-10-18. Toronto Star reports under Infantry 928856 Sgt. G. Scudamore, Fergus "wounded". Returned to Canada aboard SS Celtic 21-3-19. Demobilized Toronto 30-3-19. On 1963 voter's list for Scarborough, Toronto.
