On 153rd Battalion Nominal Roll 19-2-16, transfer to 122nd Battalion noted. On 153rd Nominal Rolls as published Guelph Mercury 10-6-16 and 1-12-16. Transferred to 122nd Battalion 26-4-17, on 122nd sailing list 2-6-17, SS Olympic, Halifax. N.S. Taken on Strength 49th CO CFC 10-7-17. Hospitalised 9-10-17, Lewisham, England, valvular disease of the heart. Letter from Sgt John Treadwell: Billy McEachern was one in our midst but the climate of France affected his heart and he went for a trip to Canada, Mt Forest Register 24-1-18. Invalid to Canada aboard Hospital Ship Llandovery Castle April 1918. Inpatient Whitby Hospital 26-4-18, Medical Board 21-5-18 debility, defective vision both eyes, valvular disease of the heart.
