Transfer to Forestry & Railway Construction Depot MD No. 1, 14-12-17. Sailed with Forestry Draft aboard SS Missanabie, Halifax, N.S. 21-12-17. Served in Canadian Forestry Corps, England only. Returned to Canada aboard 'Empress of Britain' arriving 17-2-19. Discharged London 19-3-19, medically unfit. Ontario Marriage Registry, married 21-5-14 to Fern Eliza Ovens at Harriston.
