Trade listed as Bookeeper. DOB 12-11-95, born Nottingham, England.5 foot 4 inches. Blue eyes, fair hair. Presbyterian. NOK Amelia Mapp, mother. Enlisted Mt Forest 15-2-16 (age 20 years). Enlistment noted in 17-2-16 edition Mt Forest Representative. On 153rd Battalion Nominal Roll 19-2-16, no transfers noted. On 153rd Nominal Rolls as published Guelph Mercury 10-6-16 and 1-12-16. Embarked with 153rd Halifax N.S. SS Olympic 29-4-17. Medical Board Camp Bramshott 21-6-17, heart murmur, cardiac enlargement. Fit for base duty only, excellent clerk and stenographer.
Cushnie letter dated 4-7-17 states "Percy Mapp has been in the hospital ever since we landed. I saw him on Saturday and he looks pretty tough. He was offered his discharge but refused to take it. At any rate he will never get to France and will likely get some office job in London." Discharged in British Isles 8-11-17, no longer fit for War Service. Died 22-3-65 at Bognor Regis, West Sussex, U.K.
