Enlistment noted in 2-3-16 edition Mt Forest Representative. On 153rd Battalion Nominal Roll 3-3-16, no transfers noted. On 153rd Battalion Nominal Roll as published Guelph Mercury 1-12-16. Embarked with 153rd Halifax N.S. SS Olympic 29-4-17. Arrived Liverpool 7-5-17. Assigned 25th Reserve for Training and Administration. Taken on Strength 18th Battalion 29-3-18. GSW right arm 12-8-18, arm amputated.
Orangeville Banner 22-8-18 reports "wounded." Mt Forest Register 12-9-18 reports "lost his right arm." Globe & Mail Canadian Casualties Lists 15-8-18 "wounded."
Died of Wounds, 1929, buried at Mount Forest Cemetery. (wounded at Amiens 8-8-18). Returned to Canada aboard SS Araquava Halifax, N.S. 10-1-19. Disability: Amputation right arm. Discharged Toronto 21-6-19, medically unfit.
