Enlisted Mt Forest 24-6-16 (19 years). On 153rd Battalion Nominal Roll 15-6-16, no transfer noted. Enlistment noted 5-7-16 edition Mt Forest Representative. Absent without Leave 19-8-16. Orangeville Banner 27-8-16 reports "...to be tried for desertion, escorted back to camp by Sergeant Laycock." Court of Inquiry London 14-9-16 discharged as Deserter. This man attests as George Henry King CMR Depot Regiment (226880) 13-1-17, Hamilton, does not list service in 153rd.
