Enlistment noted Fergus News Record 9-12-15. On 153rd Nominal Roll published Guelph Mercury 10-6-16, Lieut. O. Blyth Brown B Co. On Nominal Roll of Men Recruited in Fergus, published Fergus News Record 30-11-16. On 153rd Nominal Roll as published Guelph Mercury 1-12-16, Co. No 5 Platoon. Embarked with 153rd Halifax N.S. SS Olympic 29-4-17. Arrived Liverpool 7-5-17. Assigned 25th Reserves for Training and Administration. Taken on Strength 18th Battalion in the field 12-12-17. Hospitalized with Influenza 8-5-18. Hospitalized in France and England. Medical Board Whitley18-12-18, Fit for General Service. Fergus News-Record 22-5-19 reports "Lieut. O.B. Brown was an officer of the 153rd and fought with the 18th Battalion in France till he was sent to the Hospital with trench fever from which he has quite recovered." Demobilized 18-5-19 Ontario Marriage Registry (005732) married 20-12-24 to Helen Richarson Tweddle at Toronto, to reside in Fergus. Died 1973, buried Woodlawn Cemetery Guelph.
