On 153rd Nominal Rolls as published Guelph Mercury 10-6-16 and 1-12-16. Embarked with 153rd Halifax N.S. SS Olympic 29-4-17. Taken on Strength 47th Battalion 28-3-18. KIA 3-9-18

'Circumstances of Death' Register per Library & Archives Canada: "Died of Wounds" On the afternoon of September 3rd 1918, his battalion consoldated east of DRURY, and while digging himself in, he was hit in the stomach by a machine gun bullet. His wound was dressed and he was taken to No.33 Casualty Clearing Station where he succumbed. Next of Kin: (wrong serial number, correct details) Mr. A.J. McNair, Morris, Canada.
